Mirvine “Baba” Hookano of Kalaheo hit a hole-in-one Wednesday at the 170-yard, No. 7 hole at Wailua Golf Course.
Witnessed by Robin Slingerland and Tommy Aiu, Hookano achieved the feat using a K2G No. 5 for his third ace during his 35-year golfing career.
Involved in a near-fatal auto accident nearly four years ago, Hookano spent six months at the Queen’s Medical Center on Oahu, and another three-and-a-half years in recovery.
He resumed his golfing on May 4.
