Happy Camper for Nov. 23, 2014

Tootie Teves should have been part of the Hawaii Fashion Month program, having several of her designs in active production (mahalo to Jade Aguiar of Island Temptations for the Kapaa souvenir at the HHSAA Division II quarterfinals). Kudos to Chris Farina and Daniel Hamada for putting together the business plan competition based on the popular television show, and mahalo to all the business professionals for being the “sharks.”

Bruce Getzan (JFK’s 51st anniversary was Saturday) coordinated a great “What’s Buzz on Biz?” forum on Friday at the Kauai Community College, and Randy Francisco is already planning ahead for next year’s Hawaii Fashion Month (it’s also business).

Bruce said it’s Small Business Day Saturday, and congratulations to the Kauai Economic Development Board on naming its new executive director (you never know what kind of news you run into at forums).

OK, time to check out Renee Hamilton and Pink Sunday from 9 a.m. at the Kauai Veterans Center.
