Mema moves to Lihue

LIHUE — Mema Thai & Chinese Restaurant was a fixture of the Wailua corridor for over a decade, but it’s now changed locations.

The family-owned restaurant, which moved to 3-3204 Kuhio Highway in Lihue, also added Filipino fast food to the menu. That location is the former home of Sweet Marie’s Hawaii.

The new location opened Oct. 27.

Management said that the new restaurant does not have its liquor license yet but guests are invited to bring their own beer or wine.

Mema’s is open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sunday.
