Happy Camper for Friday, November 7, 2014

Happy birthday to Craig Freeman of The Palms Gallery who will be celebrating his special day, Saturday, coinciding with the Art Walk at The Shops at Kukuiula from 6 to 9 p.m. Michael Sieradzki said it’s also the first anniversary of the gallery.

It was a birthday market as Elvrine Chow said Lisa Heath survived five margaritas at the Tortilla Republic (John Halter was checking out the more accessible eatery serving salsa on the sidewalk), Tuesday night.

On Wednesday, Elvrine’s dad, Hans Zeevat celebrated his birthday with some Ketel One (was that coincidence?) at Merriman’s while watching Chef Jean Marie Josselin demo some lamb meatballs (Melissa McFerrin-Warrack wanted one, but left it for customers).

Greg Askew (he’s waiting on Sandy Poenhelt’s clearance of the Kalaheo facility) and Candace Boxer were doing Ono Pops to celebrate Living Foods being one of the places to get the locally produced fruit bars.

OK, don’t forget to check out the Grove Farm Community swap meet in the Puhi Park at 8 a.m., and Kevin Matsunaga’s CKTV craft fair and zumba with Troy Lazaro at 8:30 a.m. at the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School.
