Happy Camper for Friday, October 31, 2014

Happy birthday to Tom Hasslinger who is a Halloween baby, and Darin Moriki missed that honor, celebrating his birthday Monday (in Honolulu!).

While checking out the Nightmare in Waimea, William “Bill” Henriques (he’s Manny Henriques’ brother) was contemplating what else to add to the rapidly growing cemetery. William said he even got to watch the game at the new Mayor Bryan J. Baptiste Sports Complex.

Today is the deadline for signing up for the Veterans Day parade (next Saturday in Kapaa) for either floats or vendors at the Kapaa Beach Park.

It’s also the deadline for vendors interested in the Grove Farm Community Swap meet (it’s also on Nov. 8).

Ruthie Omoto said not to forget the School Kine cookie pickup and rummage sale Saturday benefiting the Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School band under Sarah Tochiki at the CKMS cafeteria.

OK, time to go check with Stephanie Ano and all the ghouls and goblins at the Kukui Grove Center.
