Howling for humane society
Halloween howling is not only scary, it helps the Kauai Humane Society.
The first Howl-O-Ween Dog Costume Contest will be Friday at the Kukui Grove Center exhibition area between Zale’s and Deja Vu Hawaii.
“We are always looking for ways to make a contribution to help further the many good causes supported by the Kauai Humane Society,” said Stacie Chiba-Miguel, assistant real estate manager. “This is a fun, friendly way to give back.”
Entries will be judged in four costume categories including most original, cutest, pet-and-owner look-alike, and the scariest. There will be prizes.
Register at the Kauai Humane Society through Thursday, or from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at the event.
Registration fee is $10.
