Happy Camper for Monday, October 6, 2014

Olivia Gegen is opening her fall break with a concert at the Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital, said her dad Pat. Josie Pablo (she made it to Matsuri after a full day with the Cancer Walk, Friday) said Olivia wanted to play for the residents so will be performing Monday morning.

Mahalo to Anita Kaneakua of the Kauai Bonsai Club for the ono energy bar (keeps me going during the Farm Fair).

Japan visitor Ginichi Nagayama got involved with the bonsai, getting help from Mieko Lowe in translating to Emil Valpoon.

Kapaa is going to be pumping since Karen Matsumoto said Dennis Agena and the Kalakaua Basketball is holding its popular basketball clinic starting Thursday at the Bernice Hundley Gym.

And, don’t forget, volleyball (Island School coach Brad Sato was helping at the Saturday cross country meet) continues despite the fall break.
