Due to a recent bridge inspection, county officials announced that traffic restrictions will be placed on the ‘Anini Road Bridge No. 2. The bridge is located about a quarter-mile from Anini Beach Park.
Effective Wednesday, Oct. 15, the new weight limit for the ‘Anini Road Bridge No. 2 will be three tons, and only one lane of traffic will be allowed on the bridge.
Motorists should follow all traffic control devices as well as the posted speed limits.
“For the safety of our residents and visitors, we are asking for the public’s cooperation in this matter,” said County Engineer Larry Dill.
The Department of Public Works is working on a replacement bridge. A new bridge is anticipated to be in place in about 12 months.
