Estanislao Idica Yago
Estanislao Idica Yago of Puhi, passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on September 24, 2014, at the age of 81. He was born on May 8, 1933, in Sinait, Ilocos Sur, Philippines and retired as a drip irrigator for McBryde Sugar Plantation.
He is preceded in death by his son, Marcelino Yago; parents, Pedro and Sarquia Yago; In-laws, Gregorio & Esperanza Macugay; sister-in-law, Juliana Yago; brother-in-law, Dominador Saludez.
He is survived by his spouse, Trinidad Yago of Puhi; daughter, Liz Yago (James McNichols) of Hanamaulu; three grandchildren, Tiana (Dante) Sudaria, Tyton Nunes and K’Len Nunes; four great-grandchildren, Jayden Sudaria, Cato Sudaria, Sesley Sudaria and Gianna Sudaria; brothers, Filemon (Esperanza) Yago of Puhi, Rudolpho Yago of Puhi; sisters, Eugenia (Santos) Pagat of Oahu, Matildi Saludez of the Philippines; step-brothers, Adolph Yago and Alden Yago of Oahu; numerous nieces, nephews & cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 10th at Immaculate Conception Church in Kapaia with viewing from 8:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Mateo Samson
Mateo “Matty” Eugene Samson, 51, passed away on March 24, 2012 at home in Kenai. Born on August 12, 1960 in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii. He served 4 ½ years in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his daughters April “Lani” Kutney of Wasilla, AK, and Shantel (Jamie) Castille of Breaux, LA., sons, Kaui Samson of Wasilla, AK, Matthew (Keahi) Samson of Anahola, Hawaii, and Justin (Felicia) Kalaluhi of Vail, Colo., sisters Cemona and Pearl. Sister Peggy Salba Honnet, Brothers Junior and Selso of Kauai, Hawaii, 10 grandchildren,numerous nieces and nephews.

Margaret Blair Halasey
Margaret Blair Halasey of Kilauea passed away at home on September 22, 2014, at the age of 93. She was born in Winnipeg, Canada on August 23, 1921, and worked for many years as a bank teller.
She is survived by her husband, Tom Halasey; one son, Joe Halasey; three daughters, Alex Halasey, Janet Kutkowski and Margaret Church; 7 grandchildren and one brother, Steward (Marilyn) McCall.
Private services will be held.

Donna Yamamoto of Koloa passed away on Septmeber 18, 2014 at the age of 58. She was a tennis club attendant at Poipu.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Claudio & Lillian Lumacad, and is survived by her former husband Robert Yamamoto, her children Lon (Malia) Raposas, Donya (Tony) McKnight, Dane (Darcy) Yamamoto, Rusty Yamamoto, her brother, Claude (Karen) Lumacad, her grandchildren, Kylie, Nissa, Navaeh, Kalawaia, Mailani & Kainnan, & family, friend Deuce Psstibone.
A celebration of Donna’s life will be held on Saturday October 11, 2014, at Kukuiula Boat Harbor at 10am. Leis welcome. Arrangements were handled by Brothwick Mortuary.
Merlin Pratt
Merlin Keanuenue Pratt of Pakala, Kauai passed away at the age of 89 on September 21, 2014 at his home.Born on February 16, 1925 in Oahu, Hawaii Pratt was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for Gay & Robinson.
He is preceded in death by his son Merlin Pratt, Jr. and his parents Eddie & Rose Pratt, and survived by his wife, Myrtle L. Kaapana Pratt, his three daughters, Christina (David) Kelekoma, Elvera (Gilbert) Moniz & Nani (Henry) Aviguetero, his three sons, Lloyde (JaNee) Pratt, Terrill (Mary) Pratt & Edward (Laura) Pratt, his 13 grandchildren, 28 great Grandchildren, his brother, Edward Pratt, his two sisters, Emmaline Yen & Jay Pratt, & numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.

Ramona Salud Villa
Ramona Salud Villa of Hanamaulu passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on September 28, 2014, at the age of 87. She was born in Pasuquin, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on August 11, 1927, and worked for many years at Wailua Marina Restaurant.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jose Villa. She is survived by her three daughters, Lorenza Salud of Hanamaulu, Eliza (Miles) Koide of Puhi, Joselyn (Scott) Collins of Hanamaulu; 6 grandchildren, Sylvia (Scott) Salud-Rayno, Anne (Scott) Maichel, Arlene (Roger) Hyde, Janice (Jeff) Doty, Shaun Koide, Sara Koide; 6 great-grandchildren, Madison Rayno, Luke Rayno, Samantha Doty, Chase Doty, Kaitlyn Doty, Dakota Maichel; numerous nieces and nephews.

Donald Tetsuo Sugawa
Donald Tetsuo Sugawa of Koloa died on September 30, 2014 at Garden Island Health Care at the age of 84. He was born on November 2, 1929 in Lihue and a plant quarintine manager with the Department of Agriculture.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; survived by his three daughters, Debbie of Simi Valley, CA., Tammy of San Marcos, CA., and Donna of Honolulu; four grandchildren, Alyssa, Noelle, April and Trudy; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 9:30AM at the Hanapepe Veteran’s Cemetery.
