Dhayden Duldulao had a hat trick and Braden Lumabao added a goal to lead Keahi Boys Under 14 to a 4-1 win over Futsal Kauai BU14 Sunday as the Kauai Soccer Association wrapped up the third week of its fall season at the North Vidinha fields.
Kaylee Overmyer kept the Futsal Kauai BU14 from getting shut out in the loss.
With the win, Keahi BU14 is one of three teams sporting undefeated records while Futsal Kauai BU14 is seeking its first win in the KSA fall season.
“We have 41 teams,” said Kevin Devitt, KSA commissioner. “That’s almost a 100 percent increase from last year. There are more than 350 kids playing in Under 8 through Under 18 divisions.”
Futsal Kauai, fielding two teams in the Under 8 division, one in the Under 10, two in the Under 12, and two in the Under 14 division, has one team sporting an undefeated record following three weekends of play.
Kiani Pia Salvador, Shayna Rapozo-Kamoku and Tea Rosa netted goals for the Futsal Kauai GU10 in its 3-1 win over Makani GU10, Sunday to keep its record intact. Brianalynn Ehia did the honors to keep Makani GU10 from a shutout.
“These kids play seven-a-side on a shortened field,” Devitt said. “The fall season is for developmental while the spring season sees the team increase to full numbers and playing on a regulation field in competition format.”
Nahoa Davis found the net twice and got goals from Caleb Brown, Hayden Guest, Chanson Hawelu-Inanod, Victor Hepburn, Kalani Leibow and Ekela Kai Mahuiki to lead the Northshore FC BU12 to an 8-1 showing over Team Onipaa 03 Boys Elua BU12. Muharen Zdralic kept Onipaa from being blanked in the win.
The Northshore FC BU12 win gives the Under 12 squad its undefeated status, the third one in the KSA standings.
In other games, Tristan McDaniel fired off a hat trick to lead the Lihue Arsenal BU8 to a 3-1 win over Futsal Kauai GU8, Rhea Furtado getting the Futsal goal.
Ignacio Elzaurdia, Javin Hennessy and Dylan Stevens led the Northshore FC BU10 to a 3-0 win over Kapaa FC BU10, and the Lihue Arsenal BU10 got nets from Jordan Andres, Jayden Celebrado, Makoa Chong and Kaimana Shinn in its 5-0 win over Keahi BU10.
Tayden Beadle and Caleb Calderon netted goals for the Lihue Galaxy BU10 who battled to a 2-2 tie with Team Onipaa ‘05 Boys BU10, Elijah Ibbs and Haley Zina doing the scoring for Onipaa.
Kamalei Dasalia-Mundon scored for the Kapaa FC BU8 who deadlocked the Futsal Kauai BU8, 1-1, Futsal getting its net from Nainoa Melchor.
Logan Kashima did the honors for Lihue Arsenal GU10 in its 2-0 win over the Kalaheo Fire GU10.
Kailey Ruiz found the goal twice and Kaleonahe Bukoski added a net in the Lihue Cougars White GU12’s 3-1 win over the Northshore FC GU12, Hanna Wamsley doing the Northshore honor.
Kayley Gardner had the sole goal in the Makani GU12 win over Futsal Kauai GU12, 1-0.
Team Onipaa ‘03 Boys BU12 battled to a 0-0 tie with Futsal Kauai A BU12, and Mosiah Bautista and Jasmine Semblante each netted a goal to lead Makani BU123 to a 2-0 win over Futsal Kauai B BU12.
Kaylee Overmyer finished with two goals and got help from Kendra Kupihea and Talia Washington in leading the Futsal Kauai GU12 to a 4-0 win over Team Onipaa GU14.
Nicholas Semblante got five goals, Ka Alae Ula Miike ended with a hat trick and got help with goals from Kane Casillas, Ben Griep, Conor Hunt, and Ethan Yamamoto to lead Team Onipaa ‘02 Boys BU13 to a 12-3 showing over Team Onipaa ‘01 Boys BU14, the ‘01 Boys getting two goals from Roycie Faye and one from Andrew King.
KSA action continues at 11 a.m. Sunday at the North Vidinha soccer fields.
