Kiyoshi Nakae
Kiyoshi Nakae of Hanamaulu passed away in Wilcox Memorial Hospital on September 15, 2014, at the age of 92. He was born in Lihue, Kauai on September 23, 1921. A veteran of the United States Army, he retired as a maintenance worker from Coco Palms Hotel.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Nakae; brothers, Masato and Satoru; sister, Misayo Morimoto.
He is survived by his two daughters, Karen (Myles) Uyesono and Allison (Michael) Ageno; three grandchildren, Ryan Uyesono, Bryce Ageno and Jacey Ageno; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at Lihue Hongwanji Mission with visitation from 9:00 a.m. and services at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will be held at Hanapepe Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors at 2:00 p.m.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Nakae family with arrangements.
Andrew Ellamar, Sr.
Andrew Ellamar, Sr. of Hanamaulu died on September 18, 2014 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 62. He was born on February 16, 1952 in Lihue, Kauai.
Preceded in death by his father, Federico Ellamar, mother, Angeline Ellamar, and brothers, Gabriel Ellamar and Teddy Luke Ellamar.
He is survived by his sons, Jeffery Ellamar, Andrew Ellamar Jr., Roy Ellamar, all of Hanamaulu, and Kaipo Rhodes of Washington, brothers, Richard (Sarah) Clarose of Colorado, Fredrick (Pauline) Ellamar of Hilo, Gerald (Bonnie) Ellamar of Kapaa, and Ronald Lee Ellamar of Kalaheo, sisters, Gloria Robar of Maryland, Linda Murray of North Carolina, Lovina (Duane) Steinlage of Kansas, Anita (Saia) Manakofua of California, Donna Ann Lopez of Waimea, and Faith Ligaya Ellamar of Puhi, five grandchildren, and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Private services were held.

Gilman “Jimmy” Watson
Gilman Kimo “Jimmy” Watson of Lahaina, formally from Wailua Homestead, Kaua’i; passed away on September 11, 2014, at Maui Memorial Medical Center at the age of 86. He was born on August 29, 1928 in Honolulu. He worked as a Tour Bus Driver and entertained on the island of Kaua’i known as Jimmy Watson.
He is survived by his sons, Rudy Watson, Randy (Lori) Watson, James (Pi’ilani) Watson Jr., Jesse (Renette) Watson, Harold Watson, Nelson (Kim) Watson, David (Alona) Watson; daughters, Sharon (Sam) Ako, Nellie (William) Bucasas, Yolanda (George) Keaweamahi, Puanani (Rodney) Perreira, Moana (Duane) Souza, Theadora Watson, Shelly Watson; sister, Joan P. Watson; 31 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitations will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at The Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints in Kapa’a Ward, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. with service to begin at 11:00 a.m.; burial to follow at Lihue Cemetery. Online condolences: www.ballardfamilymortuaries.com
