Stephanie Marie Tupou of Makaweli, Kauai, died on September 2, 2014 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 57. Born on February 11, 1957 in Waimea, Kauai, she was a shift manager at ABC Store.
Preceded in dead by her father, Alfredo Yaris.
She is survived by her long time friend and caregiver Debbie Olores; son, Samisoni (Normalyn) Tupou of Washington; mother, Dolores (Randy) Yaris; brothers, Alfred Yaris of Missouri, Tarrance Yaris of Kaumakani, Nelson (Ronnie) Yaris of California, and Joseph (Misook) Yaris of Las Vegas; sister, Amorita (Patrick) Apilado of Kaumakani; grandchild, Kaden Tupou and hanai-grandchildren, Jaysha, Jaylynn, and Joshua Jr. Olores; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at St. Theresa Church from 9 am, followed by celebration of Mass at 10 am. The family requests that flowers be omitted and suggests aloha attire. Inurnment will be at a later date. Arrangements were handled by Garden Island Mortuary, Ltd.
Kenneth Yoshio Konishi passed away on September 15, 2014 at the Mahelona Medical Center in Kapaa. Born in Kealia, Kauai on February 5, 1932, he was drafted in the U.S. Army at age 20 and served 2 years as a Combat Infantryman during the Korean War.
He had no known family.
On behalf of a grateful nation, the Kauai Office of Veterans’ Services will honor Mr. Konishi’s service at 12:30pm Saturday, September 27th at the Kauai Veterans Cemetery. Inurnment to follow. The public is invited.
