LIHUE — David Pulley is no stranger to Kauai.
“I was here as a manager with Liberty House before moving to the Mainland,” Pulley, the store manager at Ross Dress for Less, said Tuesday while having meetings with his assistant managers and regional managers. “I was hired as the store manager for this Kukui Grove store and that brings me back to Kauai.”
Ross Dress for Less announced the store at the Kukui Grove Center will open on Friday, Oct. 10.
“We’re scheduling a store blessing starting at 8 a.m.,” said Stacie Chiba-Miguel, the Kukui Grove assistant real estate manager. “Following the blessing, the doors will open to the public.”
Pulley said the store has hired 90 people — all Kauai residents — in anticipation of the opening, and is still accepting applications.
“We’re always looking,” Pulley said. “If you are good, we can’t afford to pass you by.”
