Happy Camper for Sept. 14, 2014

Happy birthday to Marianne Kusaka who celebrated her special day with the Cazimero Brothers at the Kauai Museum shindig.

Wanda Kau-Shibata had to deliver remarks from Gov. Neil Abercrombie at the 2014 legislative forum (kudos to El Doi, Claire Mackler, Joy Kouchi, and the many hands to host the event) before running off to deliver birthday wishes to Marianne.

Mel Kalauawa (no fruit punch, here – she said her name was Lori Uyeda) was helping serve up the chili, and congratulations to Ronald Miura (he was sitting next to Gary Furugen) on being named Employer of the Year (actually, all the Menehune Food Marts should be named tops), Julie Goldberg on winning the slogan contest, and Kalae Sahut (where was kupuna Aunty Janet Kahalekomo?) on winning the logo contest.

Another Miura, Sara Miura of Deja Vu, joined the state legislative team in offering prizes of Hydro Flasks to a lot of the winners.
