LIHUE — The Kauai Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a series of political forums leading up to the Nov. 4 general election.
The first scheduled political forum will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18 at the Koloa Neighborhood Center and include mayoral, Kauai County Council and state House of Representatives District 16 candidates.
A forum for governor and lieutenant governor candidates is slated from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 29 at the Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall Exhibition Area.
Chamber President Randy Francisco said he was able to confirm candidates would be present and that forum formats are being set up with each event’s co-host partner.
Forums include:
– Tuesday, Sept. 30, 6-9 p.m., Historic Waimea Theatre — Kauai County Council and State House of Representatives Dist. 16 candidates
– Thursday, Oct. 2, 6-9 p.m., Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall — Kauai County Council and State House of Representatives Dist. 15 candidates
– Thursday, Oct. 14, 6-9 p.m., Kapaa Neighborhood Center — Mayoral, Kauai County Council and state House of Representatives Dist. 14 candidates
– Monday, Oct. 27, 6-9 p.m., Princeville Community Association — Kauai County Council and state House of Representatives Dist. 14 candidates
– Wednesday, Oct. 29, 6:30-7:45 p.m., Wilcox Elementary School Cafeteria — United States Senate
