Happy Camper for Wednesday, September 3, 2014

Kudos to Jeff Sacchini, Robin Jumper, Chelsea Smith-Wishard and all those leaders of the Kauai Marathon on another great event!

Ron Wiley, Dickie Chang, and even the mayor made it despite celebrating Tire Warehouse’s 40th anniversary with Sharron, George and Laurie Weber the night before.

Stuart and Sioux Mackenzie of Kapaa were among the 67 people who have participated in the annual event for six years. Sioux said they have six different shirts to prove their accomplishments.

Mary Williamson of Kalaheo was running with a centipede bite, and Sue Boynton said this was her last one – NOT! Kudos to Leo McCarthy (he’s at all these kinds of events) on getting first in the men 55-59 age group, finishing 11th of out all Kauai residents on a 1:43:55 run.

OK, time to go check out Sean Magoun (he was at the 36th Labor Day Breakfast) shooting all the relays on one shoot at the KIF air riflery opener at Island School.
