The public is invited to view the third race of the Nawiliwili Yacht Club Wahine Series Thursday when the first flags fly at 5 p.m. from the Nawiliwili Harbor jetty wall area.
Midway through the four-race Wahine Series, Bonjolea II took the opening race, and Papaau captured top honors during the second race earlier this week.
Under rules of the Wahine Series, a wahine must be at the helm of participating vessels.
Maricella Millett piloted Papaau to a finish which stopped the clock at 1 hour, 1 minute, and 37 seconds over the two-leg course which spanned 4.8 miles under a blanket of wind blowing 5 to 15 knots out of the northeast. Papaau corrected to 58:59 PHRF for top honors in the seven-vessel field on Thursday.
