Daniel Carvalho

Daniel Carvalho of Lihue, Hawaii passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on July 6, 2014 at the age of 97. He was a retired Super Intendant of Hawaiian Dredging.

He is survived by his step-daughters: Lorraine (Peter) Borrero and Mildred Kealoha; hanai daughters: Sylvia (Bob) Beach and Phyllis (Gilbert) Rivera; numerous grandchildren & great-grandchildren; numerous nieces & nephews.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 19, 2014 10:30 a.m. at the Borthwick Kauai Mortuary, Koloa. Service will begin at 11:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick Mortuary, Honolulu.

Malcome Rodrigues Sr.

Malcome Gerard Rodrigues Sr. of Kapaa passed away at home on July 10, 2014, at the age of 67. He was born in Lihue, Kauai on December 12, 1946, and retired as a golf attendant with Kauai Lagoons Golf Course.

Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph & Lydia Rodrigues and sister, Alberta Rodrigues.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Rodrigues of Kapaa; two sons, Malcome Rodrigues Jr. of Kapaa, Kenneth (Carli) Rodrigues of Las Vegas; one daughter, Kele (Neilson) Manguchei of Kapaa; four grandchildren, Lenele, Cheyenne, Michael, Chael; sister, Stephanie (Wayne) Rapozo of Lihue and 3 nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014, at St. Catherine Church with viewing from 8:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery in Hanapepe. Casual attire suggested.

Kauai Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home assisted the Rodrigues family with arrangements.
