Clifford Gonsalves
Clifford Andrew Gonsalves of Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii passed away at home on June 20, 2014, at the age of 76. He was born in Hanamaulu, Kauai on June 17, 1938, and retired as a truck driver with Lihue Sugar Plantation.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mabel Gonsalves; step mother, Dorothy Gonsalves; brother, Damien Gonsalves.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Eleanor Christine Gonsalves; four daughters, Marie Gonsalves (Joseph Hoapili Jr.), Lesley (Francisco “Bully”) Rabot III, Cliflynn (Shawn) Bukoski, Lesmarlee “Crissy” Gonsalves (Jamerus Panoy); one son, Evan (Kelieann Nuesca) Gonsalves; 11 grandchildren, Tiana (Brandon Wong) Gonsalves, Tiera (Robert Lee) Gonsalves, Justin Rabot, Francisco “Cisco” Rabot IV, Sadie Gonsalves, Cyrus Grammer-Gonsalves, Caleb Gonsalves, Jacob Bukoski, Hailey Rose Gonsalves, Tori Bukoski, Tryten Rabot; 2 great-grandchildren, Briana Gonsalves-Wong, Tiabre Gonsalves-Wong; two brothers, Ralph (Veronica) Gonsalves, Thomas (Evelyn) Gonsalves; one sister, Debra Gonsalves; sister-in-law, Fannie Gonsalves; numerous aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, July 4, 2014, at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall with visitation from 9:00 a.m. and services celebrated at 11:00 a.m. by Pastor Doug Kazoub of New Hope Lihue. 49er’s or Red, black or gold attire suggested by family.

Hideo Wakuta
Hideo Wakuta of Kapaa, Kauai passed away on June 25, 2014 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at age 86. Born on April 10, 1928 in Halaula, Kauai, he was a District Water Chief with the Board of Water Supply and a life long farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Nakamasu Wakuta, sons, Derek (Debra) Wakuta of Kapaa, Daryl (Alison) Wakuta of Torrance California, and Duane (Puanani) Wakuta of Kapaa, daughter Dawn (Xavier) Ikei of Aiea, brothers, Mamoru Wakuta of Kapaa and Seichi Wakuta of Gardena, California, and sister Shizue Sakihama of Kapaa. Also surviving are his 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, newphews, cousins and friends.
Friends may visit with the family from 2 to 4 pm on Thursday, July 3rd at the Wakuta’s Residence, 5962 Kaapuni Rd, Kapaa. Service will begin at 4 pm. Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Hatsuyo Maeda
Hatsuyo Maeda of Lihue passed away in Garden Isle Health Care on June 21, 2014, at the age of 92. She was born in Koloa, Kauai on August 20, 1921. She was a dedicated homemaker and worked at Tip Top Motel Café and Bakery.
Preceded in death by her husband, Matsuo “Charles” Maeda; daughter, Lorraine Fuchigami; sisters, Yaeko Ishii, Kikue Nagato and Helen Ota; brothers, Akira and Charles Ishii.
She is survived by two sons, Wallace Maeda of Aiea, Oahu, Larry (June) Maeda of Aiea, Oahu; one daughter, Doris (Rod) Maeda-Daligcon of Lihue; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, 5 great great-grandchildren; sisters, Haruko Otsubo of Lihue, Tomiko Kabazawa of Kalaheo, Lillian Makizuru of Koloa; brother, Takeshi (Reiko) Ishii of Carlsbad, California; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014, at Lihue Baptist Church with visitation at 9:30 a.m. and services celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will take place at Kauai Memorial Gardens at 1:00 p.m. Family graciously declines flowers and suggests casual attire.

Dora Habagat
Dora Habagat of Koloa passed away in Garden Isle Health Care on June 24, 2014, at the age of 87. She was born in Wahiawa, Kauai on June 16, 1927, and retired from State of Hawaii, Department of Education at Kauai Community College and was a dedicated homemaker.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Habagat; sons, Douglas Kenney and Clifford Habagat.
She is survived by her husband, Antonio Habagat; two sons, Patrick Kenney, Gregory (Suzette) Kenney; five daughters, Helen Wilson, Sharon (David) Callahan, Vivian (Lodring) Raposas, Diane (Timothy) Texeira, Dayna (Michael) Ng; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; one great great-grandson; three sisters, Emily Paruginog, Shirley Martin, Clara Tacub; numerous nieces nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, July 6, 2014, at 3961 Koloa Rd. beginning at 12:00 noon.
