Kathleen Bryan was showing her ceramic pieces (check out the reds) for the first time Sunday at the National Tropical Botanical Garden Southshore Visitor Center.
Marionette Taboniar, longtime coordinator for the Women Artists on Kauai, had a new technique, using alcohol inks on poly media (YUPO) to create vibrant and spectacular pieces on the spot … check out her plumeria pieces, and has it been a year since Donia Lily got back from Spain (talk about graveyards in Greece was most interesting)?
Haven’t seen Leslie Hagen since the Women Artists had their exhibit at the Kauai Museum, and Patrice Pendarvis had her hands full trying to secure a tarp extension to the quick tent. That sent one of her dogs to seek refuge at Jennifer Rutt’s (her daughter had some great blood moon photos, and hasn’t gotten around to working up the honey moon stuff) table.
Unfortunately, Tropic Care was calling before Paul Tokioka got there. But there were a lot of great flowers in bloom.
