Roy Murata
Roy Tadashi Murata of Kapaa died in Wilcox Memorial Hospital May 23, 2014, at the age of 79. He was born in Kapaa on April 14, 1935, a veteran of the United State Army, he retired as a carpenter.
Preceded in death by his wife, Michiyo.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Merna) Murata of Hanapepe, Casey (Candice) Murata of Oahu; one daughter, Alison (Pedro) Manibusan of Texas; 4 grandchildren; four sisters, Doris Yamaguchi, Betty (Tatsumi) Tanaka, Amy Murata, June (Ernest) Kimura all of Oahu; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014, at Kapaa United Church of Christ with visitation from 5:00 p.m. and services celebrated at 5:30 p.m.
The family suggests aloha attire and graciously declines flowers.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Murata family with arrangements.

Vasilii G. (Dorje) Kim, 51, of Anahola Kauai passed away on April 07, 2014 at home. Dorje retired from his many car dealerships in San Francisco and Oahu. He was born on October 21, 1962 in Russia and came to America in 1991 and finally made his home in.
He is survived by his family in Russia and on Kauai, Harry Peewee Lemn, Kahea & Lynette White & family, the entire Lemn Ohana, and all the members of Koolau Hui ia Church of Anahola.
Services May 31, 2014 at Koolau Hui ia Church at 9a-10:30a visitation, service at 11am with paina lunch to follow in the church hall.
Ronald Isaacson
Ronald Bruce Isaacson of Eleele passed away on May 25, 2014 at home at age 71. Born on April 14, 1943 in Dodge, Iowa, he was a Contractor.
Preceded in death by his parents, Nelson & Betty Isaacson.
He is survived by his wife Shirleen Isaacson, daughters, Tanya (Blake) Hughes of Koloa and Kristen Isaacson of California, step-sons, Bernard Kamala Jr. of Kauai and Milton P. (Ursula) Kamala of Louiseville, Kentucky, brothers, Fred Isaacson and Dusty Isaacson of Iowa, and two grandchildren.
A Celebration of Ronald’s life will be held on June 14, 2014, 10:00 am, at Kauai Veterans Cemetery Pavilion.

Alba Marina Maza, born April 10, 1930 in Cartagena, Colombia, South America and resident of Kaua’i, Hawaii died May 12, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Rafael Tomas Maza.
She is survived by 3 siblings, Blanca Luz Villalobos, Ivan Arango and Doris Arango; 6 children, Alba Cecilia Maza, Mercedes del Rosario Maza, Diana Maza, Ralph William Maza, Walter Lee Maza and Richard Elliott Maza; 11 grandchildren, Michelle Yvette Zak, Jonathan Kalani Maza, William Anthony Vega Jr., Floyd Alexander Rivera lll, Joseph Beard Maza, Madison Rae Maza, Nora Lynn Maza, Samantha Marley Steckler, Elizabeth Jasmine Rivera, Turner James Maza and Vincent Michael Maza; 6 great grandchildren, Destinee Christine Colon, Raquel Tahvildari, Sage Marie Zak, Shane Jessie Zak, Emily Diane Rivera and Heaven Mila Vega; as well as dozens who called her Mami.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31st, 2014 at Borthwick Kaua’i Mortuary, located at 3169 Poipu Rd., Koloa, Hi. 96756 with burial following at Lawai Cemetery, located on Hailima Rd., Lawai, Hi 96765.
Steven Kanoho
Steven Keiki Kanoho of Honolulu and Kauai passed away on May 12, 2014 at the age of 72. Born on August 19, 1941 he was a Veteran, served in U.S. Army, retired glazier.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia Kanoho; Daughters, Wendy (Troy) Torres, Melissa Ann “Lisa” (Jason) Popejoy; Sons, Calvin Kanoho, Alvin “Kipukai” Kanoho; Grandchildren, Tyson “Makana” Kanoho, Camille “Ona” Popejoy, Jaylyn “Mahea” Barnard, Tommy Troy Torres Jr.; Sisters, Eloise (Eddie) Taniguchi, Sr., Leilani (Stanley) Suenaga, Noelani Ornellas, Jackie (Greg) Figueira; Brothers, Makalapua Kanoho, Harry Kanoho and numerous nieces, newphews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, June 16, 2014 at the Kauai Veterans Center, Lihue, Kauai. Viewing begins at 10 a.m. Service to follow at 11 a.m.
