William Mande
William “Bill” Aguinaldo Mande of Hanamaulu passed away at home on May 1, 2014, at the age of 80. He was born in Kapaa on January 14, 1934, and retired as a Machinist with Lihue Sugar Plantation.
Preceded in death by his wife, Florefin Shirley Mande; brothers, Faustino Patricio Sr., Belarmino Mande; sons, Ernest Mande; daughter, Kathlyn Mande; parents, Ambroscio and Margarita Mande.
He is survived by sons, Glenford Kalena Mande, William (Cyndy) Mande Jr.; daughter, Melory Mande; 9 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Crispina Laranio, Gladys Padre; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014, at Aloha Church with viewing from 9:00 a.m. and services celebrated at 10:00. Cremation will follow.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Mande family with arrangements.
Roy Murata
Roy Tadashi Murata of Kapaa died in Wilcox Memorial Hospital May 23, 2014, at the age of 79. He was born in Kapaa on April 14, 1935, a veteran of the United State Army, he retired as a carpenter.
Preceded in death by his wife, Michiyo.
He is survived by his two sons, Michael (Merna) Murata of Hanapepe, Casey (Candice) Murata of Oahu; one daughter, Alison (Pedro) Manibusan of Texas; 4 grandchildren; four sisters, Doris Yamaguchi, Betty (Tatsumi) Tanaka, Amy Murata, June (Ernest) Kimura all of Oahu; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014, at Kapaa United Church of Christ with visitation from 5:00 p.m. and services celebrated at 5:30 p.m.
The family suggests aloha attire and graciously declines flowers.
Kauai Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home assisted the Murata family with arrangements.
Dominidor Flores
Dominidor C. Flores of Lihue, Kauai passed away on May 7, 2014 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. Born on August 9, 1927 in the Philippines, he was a retired Labor from the Corn Company.
He is survived by his Daughter, Jocelyn (Ross) Cubangbang; Son, Dominidor (Chris) Flores, Jr.; 10 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday June 3, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Church from 8:00 am to 9:45 am where mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Cremation will follow.
