Brandon Beydoun netted two goals and Nicholas Bloss scored one to lead the top-seeded Rush North BU14 to a 3-0 win over the No. 4 seed Team Onipaa ‘01 Boys Bu14 Saturday at the North Vidinha fields.
The win set up one half of the finals for the Kauai Soccer Association spring league which starts Wednesday at the North Vidinha fields.
The top-seeded Rush North BU14 will square off against the No. 2 seed Keahi BU14 who won its match over the No. 3 Team Onipaa ‘00 Boys BU14 in a shootout, 1-0 behind the foot of Maka Bailey who scored the regulation goal during the KSA playoffs.
Following the Wednesday championship for the Boys Under 14 division, KSA hosts seven title games, Saturday starting at 8 a.m. at the North Vidinha fields. Divisions involved in the championship games include the Under 8, the Under 10, the Under 12, and the Girls Under 14. The title match for the Under 16 division was settled during the playoffs.
Under 8 Boys
Zachary Jumper, Nohili Ragragola and Lucas Summerhays netted goals for the No. 4 Team Onipaa ‘06 Boys BU8 who upset the top seeded Northshore Nation BU8, 3-0 during the Saturday playoffs.
Team Onipaa ‘06 will meet the No. 2 Blue Thunder BU8 who advanced after nipping the No. 3 seed Lihue Arsenal BU8, 2-1 behind goals from Kamalei Dasalia-Mundon and Mia Kaneakua-Inoshita. Austin Dabin-Duarte scored the Arsenal goal.
Under 8 Girls
The top-seeded Futsal Kauai GU8, drawing a bye during the playoffs, will square off against the No. 2 seed Northshore Nation GU8 who got past the No. 3 seed Team Onipaa GU8, 4-1 behind four goals from Alyssa Lyons. Kaimalie San Agustin scored the Onipaa goal.
Under 10 Boys
The top seeded Futsal Kauai, shutting down the No. 4 Makani BU10 1-0 behind a goal from Kalei Kanehe, will face the No. 3 seed Team Onipaa ‘04 Boys BU10 who upset the No. 2 seed Kapaa FC BU10, 1-0 behind the goal from Nakoa Andrade.
Under 10 Girls
The top seeded Northshore Nation GU10, getting a goal from Kalei Kanehe in its 1-0 win over Makani, will square off against the No. 2 seed Lihue Cougars GU10 who got past the No. 3 Northshore Nation GU10 in a shootout, 1-0.
Under 12 Girls
Jenessa Freitas scored a goal for the No. 4 Lihue Cougars GU11 to upset the top seeded Futsal Kauai GU12 during the playoffs.
The Cougars GU11 will face the No. 2 seed Team Onipaa GU12 who got a hat trick, or three goals scored, from Ashley Mecham and a net from Mia Takekuma in its 4-0 win over No. 3 seed Lanakila GU12.
Under 12 Boys
Lucas Anakalea, Nahoa Davis and Kalana Haumea-Oliver each netted goals to lead the No. 4 Northshore Nation FC BU12 to a 3-2 upset over the top seeded Keahi BU12, Shayden Duldulao getting two scores for Keahi.
The Northshore Nation FC BU12 will face off against the No. 2 seed Team Onipaa ‘02 Boys BU12 who was a 3-1 winner over the No. 3 seed Kapaa FC BU12.
Kassidie Bukoski, Bryden Cayabyab and Carlos Lang found the net for Onipaa while Tyler Hawthorne scored for Kapaa.
Under 14 Girls
The top seeded Pohaku GU14, advancing with a 3-0 shutout over the No. 4 seed Holoholona Strikers GU14, will face the No. 2 seed Kauai United GU14 who was a 2-1 winner over No. 3 seed Team Onipaa GU14.
Cheyann Fujii netted two goals and Natalie Devin had one in the Pohaku win.
Soleil Errico and Aiyanah Walker scored the the Kauai United while Mikaela Shipley had the Onipaa goal.
Under 16 Boys
In a match settled Saturday, the top seeded Rush North BU16 took a 4-1 win over the No. 2 seed Keahi BU16.
Caleb Nakamura scored two goals to lead the Rush, getting help from goals by Michael De Witt and Justin Franklin.
Justin Fune scored Keahi’s goal.
