Dillberg Integrated Healthcare in Poipu announced their second an MOM Scholarship winner. Hope Atz of Kalaheo is the scholarship winner of $3,000 in integrated services at the clinic for a year. They also gave away nine honorable mention gift certificates to applicants for $150 each for functional healthcare evaluations, as well as a $650 gift certificate for services to the scholarship runner up, Ann Anderson. The total amount of healthcare granted to deserving moms from all over the island came to $5,000.
Applicants from around the island sent in their forms in hopes of winning the scholarship. The team at Dillberg Integrated Healthcare was looking for a woman who was interested in being her best, someone who wanted to learn more about health and how to maintain it, and someone who would work hard to implement the education and protocols designed specifically for her to improve her health.
Atz’s application stood out for a variety of reasons, most importantly due to her constant pain, and inability to play with her son as she had done in the past. Hope’s story was the perfect fit for the scholarship because she was excited to improve her life and take advantage of all of the different aspects of healthcare that Dillberg Integrated Healthcare has to offer.
“I feel completely blessed and of course amazed to be in the position of healing my body of the pain I’ve been feeling the past two years,” Atz said. “I believe in preventative health, but have not been able to keep up with what I need to do to stay on the cutting edge of health and healing. Unfortunately, I have not been able to do my yoga practice for several months due to the pain I’ve had in my neck, hip and wrists and want so much to be able to play freely with my son and do the things I’ve been able to do in the past. I am inspired to be the best mom to my son who I am dedicating this year to. I feel with my health and vitality in tact I can tackle anything.”
Dillberg Integrated Healthcare plans to document Atz’s healthcare journey over the next year with photography, video and interviews. They are hoping that through hard work, the health care changes for Atz and the honorable mention moms will be transformational and have a great impact on their lives.
