The Kapaa and Waimea high school softball teams will be vying for the Data House Hawaii High School Athletic Association Division II state championships, starting Tuesday.
In seedings announced Saturday evening by the HHSAA, Waimea High School, the Kauai Interscholastic Federation champions, received the No. 2 seed, earning a bye on Tuesday.
Kapaa will face Saint Francis at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Central Oahu Regional Park fields.
Nanakuli High School earned the top seed for Division II which features 12 teams.
Following Waimea, Kamehameha Schools-Hawaii earned the No. 3 seed and Molokai earned the No. 4 seed.
Should Kapaa be successful against Saint Francis, the Warriors will meet No. 4 seed Molokai Wednesday in the quarterfinals, again at 7 p.m. at the CORP field.
Other teams in the Division II pool include Konawaena, Waialua, McKinley, Kohala, Aiea and Lanai.
Top seed for Division I went to Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama followed by Mililani earning the No. 2 seed, Baldwin getting the No. 3 seed and Hilo High School seeded No. 4.
Other teams in the Division I pool include Campbell, Lahainaluna, Waianae, Leilehua, Pearl City, Maryknoll, Moanalua and Mid-Pacific Institute.
Championship game for the Division II is Friday at the University of Hawaii Wahine Softball Stadium starting at 5 p.m.
