Jim Guerber and Larry Feinstein got a head start on Cinco de Mayo, greeting the month with El Uno de Mayo, Thursday at what Jim describes as a “comfortable place.”
Sandy Poenhelt had an opportunity to come up for air after being smashed all day Wednesday at the Kauai Culinary Market (check out the Koloa School student art) and Kathy Richards said she was trying to learn the ropes on her first trip to the joint where Michael Dahilig had set up the giant chess board.
After being tied up with KIF track for more than a month, Jim said they now have Kambucha tea on draft and are looking at adding a twin-walled growler. They even had special ‘Uno de Mayo’ shirts (Sandy said she picked hers up two days ahead of Thursday so she could wear hers).
Kudos to Denise Wardlow and her Westin Princeville ohana on the resort’s sixth anniversary! Kudos also to Kapaa boys volleyball coach Kapule Kaona who leads the resort’s special projects on the creation of the kahili for the commemoration.
