Citizen 5 of the Kalaheo School “The Nightingale,” aka Molly Malu of Lawai, was busy donning a rake to help clean the heiau at Lydgate Park Saturday during the Earth Day cleanup.
Julie Herr said the production starts its run Friday at the Kalaheo School cafeteria. Molly said she’s got practice all week until Blackout Thursday, and then, it’s curtain time.
Happy birthday to Naotoshi Mikasa who celebrated his 92nd birthday volunteering with the East Kauai Y’s Men’s Club at the cleanup.
Sandi Kato-Klutke (she sold out at the Garden Fair!) said Chiyeko Yoshii will be celebrating her 101st birthday Easter Sunday with the rest of her family in Moloaa.
Jiro (he’s 93 years young) and Jennie Yukimura (they were one week early to the cleanup) are busy getting ready to celebrate the Lihue Senior Center’s anniversary Tuesday.
