Registration for the 2014 National Multiple Sclerosis Walk, or MS Walk, is taking place. The Kauai Walk MS Sunset Stroll is scheduled April 19 at the Kapaa Beach Park.
Kauai’s event will take place at the Kapaa Beach Park and multi-use path with registration starting at 4 p.m., and the walk starting at 5 p.m. It will continue until around 7:30, or 8 p.m. with dinner being provided by Duke’s restaurant. There is no registration fee and a suggested fundraising minimum of $100.
Cynthia Correa Edralin, who has MS, has gained the support of her friends and family in collating a local-style cookbook as a fundraiser for the MS Walk event.
“I am very blessed to have so much help from all my family and friends,” Cynthia said in a “My experience with MS” section in the cookbook. “My faith and the tremendous support is what pulled me through. I will remain positive and will never give up.”
