Pack your board shorts and head to Kapaa Beach Park at 9 a.m. Saturday to experience a cool event for Special Olympics Kauai.
Take the Polar Plunge and slide down a 22-foot slide to the legendary ice water below. For $75 in pledges participants will receive the official Polar Plunge T-shirt and bragging rights over everyone who just couldn’t bear it.
You may choose to take the “Too Chicken to Plunge” option which allows you to raise funds for Special Olympics Kauai or participate in the day’s events from the safety of the “chicken coop.”
Or, just come out, watch and make a donation.
“Guaranteed to witness community leaders freeze their toes and warm their hearts,” according to a press release.
