Rosemary Reder is “in training” to become an East Kauai Y’s Men’s member, said Donna Schulze on Friday.
Reder was at the Kauai Chamber of Commerce membership meeting because she said her mother, Frances Reder, was the first woman chair for a New York chapter.
Happy birthday to Ed Kawamura, who celebrated his special day Friday (notice how the traffic came to a standstill for him?). Ed had his entire ohana at the chamber dinner meeting, too.
Rebecca Smith was trying out the new camera she found at a garage sale (great deal!) and Caroline Manera-Texeira and Chantal Zarbaugh were going crazy, but still looked great after processing 500 guests.
Lani Kaui was helping out with the chamber volunteers and Lyah Kama-Drake was joined by Jane Gray and former mayor Maryanne Kusaka after Lyah was doing the solo thing at the Young Brothers (Glenn Hong was supposed to visit the chamber, too) grant presentations.
