Happy Camper for Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013

If it’s Wednesday, it’s a good day to check out the Kauai Beer Co. on Rice Street.

Jim Guerber was on hand Sunday at the Range and Food Festival (Melinda Uohara does pretty good at being a “bouncer”) with the brewery’s Growler.

Larry Feinstein said the Zero Waste Kauai people should be happy since it takes a lot of bottles out of the waste stream.

Pat Gegen got a lot of help from the little people in directing people at the festival to use the right containers for recycling and composting, and the food scientist Celeste Rogers Karau was on top of all the people coming and going at the event.

Dickie Chang did a great job working to help the Filipino people by introducing Alan Villaflor and the Kasibulan Dancers, and it was good to see Chef Martina Hilldorfer and all the Kauai Community College culinary arts students working with all the chefs.

Duane Shimogawa even had his dad, Stoop, on hand along with Mamo Kaneshiro.
