Kudos to Father Edison Pamintuan and the Holy Cross Church Parish Pastoral Council on hosting its first Veterans Day luncheon paying tribute to all veterans.
The luncheon comes just ahead of the Holy Cross Altar Society’s annual bazaar from 7 a.m. to noon Saturday, said Becky Coyamin of the Alter Society.
Scotty Vidinha should be there helping, but if you want the sweet bread (really ono!), or buns, you need to get there around 7 a.m. because it doesn’t last.
In addition to the bread, there will be baked goodies, pickled items, plants, veggies and fruits.
Kudos to Norberto Garcia, Aida Cruz, Johnette Chun and all the veterans organizations on a great Veterans Day service Monday at the Hanapepe Veterans Cemetery.
Donovan Travaso turned over the duty of keeping the cemetery neat to Andrea Abalos who got help from Mikayla Nakamura Monday and Steve Davis of Kauai Coffee said the Port Allen cemetery is all clean and spruced up.
