What factors do you consider when you feed yourself?

If you are like most Americans, two factors are the most important. Researchers from the University of Arizona used a social media site to gather information on what people think about when making most food choices. This study solicited answers from participants ages of 18 to 30.

Can you guess what the most important factors were?

Cost and convenience are the top reasons for food choices. Dairy and protein also were mentioned as top food categories that people felt were important to consider. This study helps researchers understand what people are looking for in selecting their food and hopefully to make healthy eating choices easier.

So one of the greatest benefits to the nutritional company that I advocate and use, is it is top quality, whey protein-based (from organic, non-contaminated sources), and the average cost per meal replacement shake or nutrition bar is less than $3 per serving.

How’s that for fitting the bill?

Because these meal replacement shakes are properly balanced with readily assimilated protein, the correct balance of complex and simpler carbohydrates as well as healthy fats and delivered in a low-calorie yet highly nutritious format, they curb appetite, promote healthy fat loss, muscle growth and maintenance and provide long-lasting energy. Perfect!

Whey protein is the superior form of protein for burning fat and triggering muscle growth, and casein milk protein is more slowly absorbed from the stomach to help you stay full longer and to inhibit muscle breakdown.

By combining both whey protein and casein protein with the healthy low glycemic carbohydrates, fiber and healthy unsaturated fats, the shakes that I use and recommend also prevent energy crashes and cravings.

After a workout, it is important to replace not only the muscle glycogen that has been burned but also to replenish muscle water and to introduce protein to the muscles for growth and replenishment.

Because these shakes are low in fat, there is little competition for protein absorption. Optimally you should take the protein shake within 20 minutes after a workout for maximum absorption.

The difference between the Isagenix Shakes and shakes that you might get elsewhere, is that the dairy ingredients of whey and casein are organic. This means no pesticides, no herbicides, no GMO, no Bovine Growth Hormone, no antibiotics, no heavy metals.

In other words, no junk, and it’s the highest grade whey that you can get.

There are five levels of purity and effectiveness of whey protein, and Isagenix meets all requirements for the top rating. Would you really want to introduce those toxins and low-grade protein into your hungry muscle cells?

Purity is one reason to opt for the best. Ease of digestibility is the second and the “no compromise” quality control of the company is the third.

Isagenix ensures that all products meet or exceed the highest standards of Good Manufacturing Practices standards for dietary supplements.

The Good Manufacturing Practices are outlined not only by the FDA but also international regulatory boards that include authenticity, quarantine and release procedures, cleanliness, employee training and documentation.

In addition to testing the raw materials that go into the products, Isagenix evaluates the effectiveness of the finished products as well as performs stability testing to ensure that the products stay strong and effective well past the expiration date.

Exercise is an important activity toward getting and keeping yourself healthy and strong, but just as important — or perhaps even more so — is feeding yourself the best quality food that you can.

Scientists have shown that cost and convenience are important, and the scientists at Isagenix have developed the perfect solution — a delicious, nutritious, satisfying, perfect food that nourishes your body inexpensively and effectively.

I have used these products for over six years and will continue for my lifetime.
