Herman Chong Sr.
Herman Yau Wing Chong Sr., of Kealia passed away at home on Sept. 28, 2013, at the age of 92. He was born in Kealia, Kauai on June 27, 1921, and retired from Lihue Sugar Plantation as the electrical department superintendant.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Chong and daughter, Geraldine Dabin.
He is survived by his son Herman Chong Jr., of Kapaa; four daughters, Veronica McLaughlin of Oahu, Nalani (Ronald) Data of Oahu; Sheila (Damon) Ventura of Kilauea, Jennelle (Lorry) Duterte of Wailua; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild; brother, Albert (Jocelyn) Chong of Oahu; sister, Mary Jane Akana of Oahu, Pearl Silva of Kapaa; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Oct. 26 at Kapaa First Hawaiian Church with visitation from 9 a.m. and services celebrated at 10 a.m.

Petronila Agustin
Petronila Hilario Agustin of Hanamaulu passed away at Garden Isle Health Care on October 5, 2013, at the age of 92. She was born in Mayantoc, Tarlac, Philippines on March 5, 1921, and retired from Wilcox Memorial Hospital as a housekeeper.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Crisanto Agustin Sr.; son, Crisanto Agustin Jr.; three sisters and one brother.
She is survived by one son, Rodolfo (Luz) Agustin of Puhi; five daughters, Remedios (Paul) Arellano of Koloa; Perla (Adolfo) Yago of Hanamaulu; Estela (Ferdinand) Caoagas of Wailua; Evelyn (Bill) Villasin of San Diego; Leticia (Lee) Dooney of San Diego; daughter-in-law; Alanna Agustin of Hanamaulu; 24 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
A wake service will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Kauai War Memorial Convention Hall. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2013, with viewing from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Jose Caminos
Jose Caminos of Anahola passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on October 15, 2013, at the age of 78. He was born in Wahiawa, Oahu on May 24, 1935, and was employed by Castle Resorts as a security guard.
He is survived by his wife, Natividad “Naty” Caminos of Anahola; daughter, Jeannie “Missy” (Mark Fujiuchi) of Kauai; sons, Jeffrey (Lori) Caminos of Oahu, Joseph “Joey” (Kristina) Caminos of Kauai, Jason (Laura) Caminos of Kona, Jonathan (Valerie) Caminos of Kauai; hanai sons, Clyde (Oma) White of Kauai, Russell Borges of California; 17 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Tolentino of Oahu, Encarnation Gray of California; brothers, Gale (Marilou) Caminos of Oahu, Augustine Caminos of Oahu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 25, 2013, at St. Sylvester Church in Kilauea with visitation from 8 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be held at Kauai Memorial Gardens at 12 p.m.

Takayuki Kimura
Takayuki “Taxi” Kimura of Kilauea, Kaua’i passed away on Sunday, October 13, 2013, at the age of 91 surrounded by family. He was born on April 1, 1922, in Kilauea, Kaua’i, worked for Kilauea Plantation and retired with the County of Kaua’i.
He was preceded in death by parents, Kuniyoshi and Sato Kimura; brothers, Kiyoshi Kimura; Yukio Kimura; Seiki Kimura; Tadayoshi Kimura and one great-grandson.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Pacheco Kimura; sons, Alan (Maile) Kimura; Don (Malia) Kimura; Karl (Corina) Kimura; Jan (Shaylyn) Kimura; Ted (Lisa) Kimura all of Kaua’i; daughters, Gale Kahao of O’ahu; Lori (Alan) Cadawas of Kaua’I; Jaymie Kimura-Kunimura of O’ahu; 19 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; sister, Machiko (Masaru) Kimura; brother, James (Sandra) Kimura; sister-in-law, Shizu Kimura; numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2013, at St. Sylvester’s Catholic Church in Kilauea, Kaua’i Friends may visit with the family beginning at 8:30 a.m. with Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.
