Happy Camper for Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013

Kudos to Ed Batara and Lisa Nobriga on a great Car Shines for Kauai Grinds car show as a tribute to veterans Saturday!

Manny Igaya had his motorcycle out ahead of the Episcopal Church of West Kauai pancake breakfast, and Harvey Maeda, of Kauai Classic Cars, had his black Ford out for the event.

Ryant Sakamoto, just turning 8 years old, is raring for the drag races to start so he can run his Junior Dragster down the strip.

Lori Almarza was on hand and said the Kauai United Way Walk is on Oct. 26 starting at 7 a.m. at the Kukui Grove Center (when is Nellie Okamoto’s birthday?).

Lisa said even Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. stopped by to check out the vehicles on display.

Happy birthday to Jason Fujinaka who got his birthday off, Ron Wood doing a good job filling in.

Mike Teruya must have been in Kokee for the Emalani festival (mahalo to Chucky Boy Chock on the heads-up of the All Saints event, too) so couldn’t take in the Art Walk.
