Happy Camper for Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013

Happy birthday to Mayor Bernard Carvalho Jr. who celebrated his special day with the 100th Battalion veterans Sunday. Kudos to Ken Morikawa and all the Club 100 members who came up with a great event.

Donia Lilly said Wednesday is the date to visit the Women Artists of Kauai when the group opens its Kauai Museum Preview Exhibit for the Open Studio Tour series which benefits the Zonta Club of Hanalei (Carroll Gerow said they have their fashion and tea event Oct. 19 at the Princeville Golf Club).

Marionette Taboniar, Helen Turner, Caylin Spear, Leslie Hagen (nice dragon), and Suzy Staulz were all at the Kauai Museum helping to hang pieces (Donia said she had to use math for this project).

Chris Faye was working on the backdrop for the Makahiki games display and Lani Kaui said Darrell Gonzales will have copies of his CD available at the paina on Friday with food from Mark’s Place and Contemporary Flavors Catering.

Saturday Pam Brown is hosting Dennis Chun and Keala Kai during Ohana Day.
