The annual All Angels Animal Blessing

All creatures great and small are invited to the All Angels Animal Blessing at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6, at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, Umi and Hardy streets in Lihue.  

The service will feature brief readings about animals, prayers for animals and those who care for them, prayers for our animals who have passed on, and animal-themed songs.  

The service also includes personal blessings for each animal. All critters must be on a leash or in a crate. Pictures of animals and stuffed animals can also be blessed.

After the service there will be a “Hot Dog” reception out on the lanai and lawn with live music with “The Hounddogs.”  

Bring a blanket or lawn chair for the outdoor reception. There will be treat bags and blessing certificates for all animals, a petting zoo for kids, and food and beverages for all humans.  

Humans are also invite to attend.
