James Cummings Jr.
James D. Cummings Jr. of Kalaheo, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on Aug. 28, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 71. He was born on March 22, 1942 in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. He was an Electronic Technician for P.M.R.F. for 41 years. He was in the United States Air Force.
He is preceded in death by parents, James and Myrtle Cummings; brother, David Cummings.
He was survived by wife, Diana Cummings, Hanapepe; daughters, Selina (Donald) Smith, Florida; Stephanie Machado, Kapaa; sons, Wayne (Mary) Knight, Lawai; Glenn (Crystal) Kelly, North Carolina; Michael Knight, Hanapepe; Bradley Cummings, Hanapepe; sister, Diane Couzens, Georgia; brother, Rick (Scarlette Delbridge) Cummings, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, Sept. 10, 2013 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Kalaheo. Visitation at 9 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kauai Veterans Cemetery.

Eulalia Suguitan
Eulalia “Leila” Maghanoy Suguitan of Hanamaulu passed away at Straub Clinic and Hospital on Sept. 1, 2013, at the age of 75. She was born in Lihue on Dec. 14. 1937, and was employed as a clerk at Lihue 7-11.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Leoncio and Felomina Maghanoy; sister, Jean Allianic; brother, Richard Maghanoy; sister-in-law, Carol Mahagnoy.
She is survived by four sons, Bryan (Joanne) of Hanamaulu, Stanford “Squeaky” (Mary Jane) of 0Arizona, Myles (Marilyn) of Hanamaulu, Paul (Roz) of Arizona; 10 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren,; brothers, Arthur Maghanoy of Hanamaulu, Albert Maghanoy of Lihue; sister, Rehina (Jackie) Ancheta of Hanamaulu; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of her life will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10 a.m.

Adela Fune
Adela Miguel Andres Fune, 53, of Koloa, Kauai, passed away at Queen’s Medical Center on Aug. 30, 2013. She was born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Oct. 3, 1959. She was an Accountant of Kiahuna Golf Club.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Fune; four children, Sharilyn (Joshua) Williams; Eric; Jonathan; and LeinaRose Fune; grandson, Jackson Williams; mother, Ilena Andres; siblings: Reynie (Nanette) Andres; Francisco (Pacita) Andres; Esmenio (Roselily) Andres; Hernando (Diane) Andres; Edna (Keith) Barbrie; and Elsa (Alex) Andres-Paguirigan; mother in-law, Rosita Fune; her siblings-in-law: Desiree Yadao; Curtney Fune; Ryan (Tom) Fune; Bradley (Lorena) Fune; Kevin (Shelcie) Fune; numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
There will be two services to celebrate Adela’s life. The first service is on Sept. 10 at Nuuanu Memorial Park and Mortuary on Oahu. Visitation starts at 5, the service at 6:30 p.m. The second service is on Sept. 14 at St. Raphael Church on Kaua’i. Visitation begins at 8 a.m., with mass starting at 10 a.m. and burial at St. Raphael Cemetery to follow. The family requests aloha attire for both services.

Gloria Allen
Gloria Allen passed peacefully at her home surrounded by family and friends on Kauai Hawaii, at the age of 91 years, on July 26, 2013. She was born June 15, 1922 in Oregon and was a homemaker and owner of a Hallmark Card shop in Seattle.
Preceded in death by husband Robert, she is survived by her son Dr. Terry (Marilyn), daughters Janet Nord (John) and Wendy Carlson (Robert), seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, Sept. 15, at 3 p.m. at
St Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church, located at 4364 Hardy Street in Lihue, Kauai, Hawaii 96766.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions be made to: St Michael’s and All Angels Church or Kauai Hospice.

Harry Kawamura
Harry Akiyoshi Kawamura of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii passed away at Garden Isle Healthcare on Aug. 22, 2013, at the age of 84. He was born in Kapaa on Sept. 29, 1928, and retired as an Accountant at Samuel Mahelona Memorial Hospital for the State of Hawaii.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kano Kawamura and Tomi Nomura Kawamura; brothers, Iwao Kawamura and Susumu Kawamura.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Kawamura of Kapaa; three sons, Jon (Maija) Kawamura of Salem Oregon; Glen (Malia) Kawamura of Kapaa; Barry (Joanne) Kawamura of Kapaa; one daughter, Amy (Khanittha) Kawamura of Kapaa; 8 grandchildren; sisters, Teruko Sugiyama of Kailua, Oahu; Tsuyuko Kurashige of Honolulu, Oahu; 1 niece and 3 nephews.
A celebration of his life was held privately.

Gregorio L. Daligcon
Gregorio L. Daligcon of Eleele, Kauai passed away on Aug. 7, 2013 at his home in Eleele at the age of 87. He was born on May 10, 1926 in the Village Makaweli Town. He was a Retired Irrigator for Gay and Robinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dionicio and Maria Daligcon; two sisters, Florentina Manuel and Saturnina Andres; two brothers, Isidro Daligcon and Luciano Daligcon.
He is survived by his wife, Victoria Manuel Daligcon; one daughter, Gloria (Fernando) Mariano; 5 sons, Eduardo (Venus) Daligcon; Adriano (Norma) Daligcon; Antonio (Reynalda) Daligcon; Danilo (Kelly) Daligcon; Guillermo (Donna) Daligcon; one sister, Rosita Yadao; one brother, Mariano Daligcon; 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with family on Friday, Sept.13, 2013 at Borthwick Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from 6 to 9 p.m. and again on Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 at Holy Cross Church from 9 to 9:45 a.m. Where mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. and Burial to follow at Hanapepe Public Cemetery.

Karen Lee Lardizabal
Karen Lee Lardizabal of Lihue passed away on Sept. 4, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 67. She was born on May 25, 1946 in Orange, New Jersey, she was the owner of Lee’s Rentals.
She is survived by her husband, Glenn Joseph Lardizabal; daughter Lynn (Jesse) Goo; sister Kathy (William) Vogt of Honolulu; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Karen’s life will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 at Kalapaki, Niumalu Canoe Club at 2 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.

Ruby T. Kato
Ruby T. Kato of Hanapepe passed away on Sept. 3, 2013 at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 85. She was born on July 11, 1928 in Hakodate, Japan, she was a Tour Guide with Grayline and Jalpak.
She is survived by her five sons, Danny (Jan) Kato; Roy (Debbie) Kato; Stanley (Colleen) Kato; Gary (Sony) Kato; and Stephen Kato; daughter, Pearl Kato; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be private. The family requests no flowers and monetary offerings.
