How common is the Yamamoto name?

On Friday, three Yamamoto sensei, or teachers, were together at Kauai Community College when Kauai CC instructor Brian Yamamoto (he worked the farm fair until midnight Thursday) met up with Dr. Keiichiro Yamamoto of the Toyama National College of Technology who has been working on low flow hydroelectric with Bob Conti, and Masamitsu Yamamoto, an instructor and chaperone with the Okinawa Prefectural College of Nursing who arrived Sunday for a two-week visit.

Kyoko Ikeda, the Kauai CC international education coordinator, was thrilled to have the three Yamamoto sensei from the different parts of the world.

Josie Pablo was at the farm fair Thursday, and was thrilled when Gov. Neil Abercrombie came to visit the Mahelona Hospital residents and staff following his remarks at the farm fair opening. She’ll be meeting up with the Okinawa students Tuesday during the hospital’s last beach outing of the summer at Lydgate.
