Ron Wood of FM97 was getting in some practice in reading stains as he compared coffees with Ron Horoshko at the Never Forget Sandy G golf tournament.

Ron Wood’s fellow on-air personality, BB Choi, was at the Waimea/Anuenue football game and wondering how hot it was inside the Menehune Blue uniform.

Ron Horoshko was talking about trying to get his 19-year-old violin player from Waimea to perform with Kim McDonough, who attracted a large following on Saturday night during the Kukuiula Art Walk.

Janie Crane was at the Art Walk and said tickets for the Lihue United Church annual Labor Day breakfast are available at the church’s office behind King Auto Center.

Sharon Lasker of the Regency at Puakea said the car wash benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association was moved back to Aug. 24, a week ahead of the Alzheimer’s Walk. Pat Gonzales of the Memory Keepers hosts a garage and bake sale at the Lihue Neighborhood Center starting at 8 a.m. on Saturday.
