LIHUE — Kauai Community Federal Credit Union awarded five graduating high school students scholarships worth $1,000 each.
This year’s Your Choice Scholarship recipients are Meleane Moala and Dawn Mones from Kapaa High School, William Jordan Balbin and Kari Noe from Kauai High School, and Tresten Nakashima from Waimea High School.
Moala will be attending Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash.; Mones will attend California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif.; Balbin will be at the University of Colorado in Denver; Noe and Nakashima will be attending the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
