Lucille B. Arruda
Lucille B. Arruda of Waimea, Kauai, Hawaii, passed away on July 10, 2013 at the age of 81 at Queens Medical Center, Oahu. Born on December 3, 1931 in Makaweli, Kauai. She was a cook.
Preceded in death by: son, Mark Arruda; daughters, Marie Ribera; Melissa Ornong and Darleen Emura.
She is survived by: Sons, Earl Gouveia, Honolulu; Marvin (Gayle) Arruda, Washington State; daughter, Verna (Randy) Chinen, Kekaha; brothers, Clarence (Puanani) Arruda, Kapaa; Joaquin “Jr” (Leilani) Arruda, Kekaha; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Numerous Aunties and Uncles and nieces and nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday July 19, 2013 at Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary, Waimea. Visitation at 9:00 a.m. Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at Kekaha Public Cemetery.
Casual Attire is suggested.

Iwalani Rowena Kanoho-Soares of Lihue, Kauai. She passed away on July 4, 2013 at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, at the age of 60. She was born on December 6, 1952 in Lihue, Kauai. She was a security Guard at Kauai High School and Chiefess Kamakahelei Middle School.
She is preceded in death by her husband Harry Soares; her parents Henry and Kila Kanoho; sisters Luka Goo, Eldean Kanoho and Grathana Cabral; brothers Henry, Waianuhea and Bruce Kanoho.
She is survived by her daughter: Eldean (Larry) Cruz; sons: Daniel (Catherine) Pimental; Darson (Catherine) Pimental; five Grandchildren, Sisters: Eloise (Eddie) Taniguchi, Jr.; Leilani (Stanley) Suenaga; Noelani Ornellas; Jackie (Greg) Figueira; Brothers: Steven (Claudia) Kanoho; Makalapua Kanoho and Harry Kanoho.
Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Borthwick Kauai Mortuary in Koloa from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Family request flowers omitted. Private burial will be held at a later date.

Cecilio Delos Santos Esteban of Wailua Homesteads passed away on July 13, 2013, at the age of 74. He was born in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines on March 1, 1939 and retired from Kapaa Shores as a landscaper.
He is survived by his wife, Rosario Esteban; one daughter, Marianita “Mayette” (Nick) Loseto of Kapaa; seven sons, Jacinto (Merlita) Esteban of the Philippines, Edison (Bernadette) Esteban of Kapaa, Edwardson (Emalynn) Esteban of Honolulu, Rhandy (Sheila) Esteban of Hanamaulu, Stephen (Cheryl) Nicolas of the Philippines, Edwin (Nancy) Esteban of Kapaa, Rodrigo “Boy” (Mary Ann) Esteban of Oregon; 19 grandchildren, six sisters, Lucena Olaguera of the Philippines, Margarita (Alfonso) Suyat of Honolulu, Aida Pinera of the Philippines, Aurea (Tony) Somera of Honolulu, Arsenia (Marcelino) Lopez of Honolulu, Erlyntina (Willie) Agpaoa of Honolulu; numerous nieces and nephews.
A wake service will be held on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 5:00 p.m. at 6113 Kolopua St., Kapaa, HI. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Church with viewing from 8:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Venancio B. “Boy/Benny” Tabura Jr., of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on July 8, 2013 at his home at the age of 66. He was born on April 10, 1947 in Lihue, Kauai
He was a retired SGT. in the U.S. Army.
He is preceded in death by parents, Venancio and Solidad Tabura; sisters, Marie Tabura Hiranaka and Yolanda Tabura Cabinatan.

William “Bill” Francis MacAdam former resident of Haena passed away on June 5, 2012 at the age of 79. He was a commander in the United States Navy and was Range Operations Officer at PMRF Barking Sands.
He is survived by his two sons, Jeffrey (Constance) MacAdam of Lafayette, California; Stuart (Christine) MacAdam of Adelaide, South Australia; four grandchildren, Caitlin, Samuel, Alex, and Bonnie.
Friends may visit with family on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 for a service at 4:00 p.m. at Bill’s former residence at 7233 Alealea Road, Haena.

Lyndelle Kaipolani Ah Kiu Makanani of Kapahi passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on July 6, 2013 at the age of 60. She is born on June 30, 1953 in Lihue Kauai. She was a sales representative at Nakoa Enterprises.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Martha Chow.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Makanani; daughters, Kendra (Brad) Inanod and Kaylyn Makanani, both of Kapahi; brothers, Ken Chow of Niumalu, Clayton (Kimberly) Chow of Wailua Homesteads, and Michael (Malia) Chow of California; sister, Darlene (George) Thronas of Wailua Homesteads; one grandchild, Tawehi Oana-Makanani; and numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Shigeko Eguchi of Kekaha, Kauai passed away on July 9, 2013 at her home at the age of 83. She was born on February 20, 1930 in Kekaha, Kauai, she was a retired Paramedical Assistant with the State of Hawaii.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Yoshitaka Eguchi; son, Blaine Eguchi; brother, Yuken Oshiro; and sisters, Chiyomi Kamida and Katsuko Oshiro.
She is survived by sons Dennis (Patricia) Eguchi and Zadoc Eguchi; daughter, Tessie (Dave) Hall; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Ayako Hunt and Gladys Akasaki; brother, Mitsuo Oshiro; and numerous nieces and nephews.
