LIHUE – The public is invited to attend a meeting regarding an update on the adolescent drug treatment and healing center and to provide input.
The meeting will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Lihue Neighborhood Center.
The county’s consultant Families First Hawaii Services Inc. will present the results of a draft feasibility study on the center, answer questions and take comments.
County officials will also be on hand to answer questions and discuss the next step in the planning process.

• Kauai residents can get free retinal screenings through the Vision Van and the Lions Clubs of District 50 through Sunday.
The free screenings are part of the WE, a hui for health, and provide Kauai people access to health screenings while educating them about personal health.
Kilauea Neighborhood Center will be visited by the Vision Van on June 27 from 3 to 6 p.m.
On June 28, the Vision Van will be available at the Princeville Shopping Center from 4 to 7 p.m.
June 29, the Visit Van will be at the Hanamaulu Kalepa Community Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and on June 30, the Visit Van will be at the Kapaa Shopping Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
