On Friday at 7 and 9 p.m. at the Aston Aloha Beach Hotel, Palms Restaurant join Comedian of the Year Augie T in his “Father’s Day Weekend Show” featuring Mel Cabang. Tickets cost $15 per person in advance or $20 at the door. Every dad attending the comedy show will receive a free gift. Aston Aloha is having a prime rib dinner before the show from 5 to 7 p.m. The cost is $30 per person. Info: www.augiet.com or 823-6000
On Saturday gather your family early for the 9th annual “Just for Dad’s Car, Truck and Bike Show” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kukui Grove Center, fronting American Savings Bank and the UPS Store. Bring Dad and the entire family for a day full of automobiles, entertainment and prizes. There will be over 50 car entries. This event is sponsored by the Kauai VW Club and Kauai Classic Cars. Sunday includes two events. First up, “Church on the Beach” at 9 a.m. at Lucy Wright Park in Waimea. All are welcome. There will be music, prayer, and a short sermon, “Lost Boy: A Father’s Love.” There will be lunch, groceries, prizes, goody bags and drawings. It is free. From 10:30 to 11 a.m. come down to Nawiliwili Yacht Club to register for the Father’s Day “Keiki Fishing Tournament.” There is a $5 entry fee, which includes a hot dog and soda. Keiki ages 3 to 13 can bring an adult and start fishing at the Nawiliwili Small Boat Harbor. Bring your bucket, pole and bait. The contest ends at 12:30 p.m. and prizes will be awarded at 1:30. This community event is sponsored by Nawiliwili Yacht Club. Info: 651-5103
