Yukio Kimura
Yukio Kimura of Kilauea passed away at home on June 2, 2013, at the age of 97. He was born in Kilauea on April 2, 1916, and retired from Wilcox Memorial Hospital as a maintenance worker.
He is survived by two brothers, Takayuki “Taxi” (Sally) Kimura of Kilauea and James (Sandra) Kimura from Washington; one sister, Machiko (Masaru) Kimura from Japan; nephews, Alan (Maile), Don (Edwina), Karl (Corinna), Jan (Shaylyn), Ted (Lisa), Tim, Shiyuki; nieces, Gale Kahao, Lori (Alan) Cadawas, Naomi, Emiko and Sumiko; numerous great-grand and great great-grand nieces and nephews.
Donation may be made to Kauai Hospice at 4457 Pahee St., Lihue, HI 96766.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 14, 2013, at Kauai Memorial Gardens beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Stanley Carvalho
Stanley Manuel Carvalho of Kapaa passed away at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on June 3, 2013, at the age of 76. He was born in Lihue, Kauai on June 5, 1936, and retired from Lihue Sugar Plantation as a supervisor from the Hanamaulu Tractor Shop.
Preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor Leina’ala Carvalho; parents, Manuel and Georgina Carvalho; daughter, Raymonda Haney; sister-in-law, Espy Oana; brother-in-law, John Ornellas.
He is survived by five sons, Darryl Kaina Carvalho, Duane Kaleo Carvalho, Destry Kalama Carvalho, Dawson Kaili (Trisha Inanod) Carvalho, Mitch (Trisha) Fanning; grandchildren, Kaison Carvalho, Kainani Inanod, La’akea Iseri-Carvalho, Deshayne’e Iseri-Carvalho, Gabriel Fanning, Elijah Tussing, Kalei (Ricky Rego)Cardinez, Kanani (Harvey) Makekau, Mikey (Carolan) Cardinez, Tyrus “TC” Cardinez; brothers, Bernard Carvalho Sr., Glenn (Ruth) Carvalho; sisters, Yvonne (Masa) Camat, Beverly (Norman Sr.) Holt; brothers-in-law, Stanely Oana Jr., Rossiter (Vicki) Oana Sr.; sister-in-law, Flora Ornellas; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. Catherine Church with viewing from 9:00 a.m. and Mass celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Kauai Memorial Gardens.

Herbert Kelii Kaneholani Jr of Anahola, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on June 7, 2013 in Tucson Arizona at the age of 69. He was born on August 7, 1943 on Oahu. He was a Heavy machine operator for Estenzo Plumbing.
He is survived by his wife Star Kaneholani of Arizona; sons Herbert (Tammy Boro) Kelii Kaneholani III, of Lihu’e, Joseph (Leslie) Kaneholani of Koloa; daughter Rachel Lehua (Sam) Thomas of San Diego; Step-daughters: Blue Sky (Paul) Perry, Rain Belmonte, Spring (Ian) Lemke, Dancing Cloud (Don) Alexoff. Grandchildren: Bryson, Kyrie, Jourdan, Abcde, Kekai, Aukai, Kawailehua, Kalena, Kailani, Isaiah, Isabel and Samaya. Sierra, Michael, Makenna, Haley , Orion, Skyler, Kenny and Kai. Great-grandchildren: Kloey, Maleah, Serenity, Leilani and Malakai; Brothers: John (Leila) Kaneholani, Billy Kaneholani, Jerry Kaneholani, Daniel (Eva) Kaneholani and Clement Kaneholani Sisters: Olinda (York) Higashi, Miriam Kupihea, Midge (Lawerence) Asai, Tatiana (Terry) Ryan, and Olandra Kaleiohi. He is preceded in death by his parents Herbert and Elizabeth Kaneholani; Sister: Rosemary Sanay; Brothers: Harry Kaneholani Sr., George Kaneholani and David Kaneholani and ex-wife Paulette Kauwe Kaneholani.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Anahola Beach.

Daniel George Betsui of Koloa, Kauai, Hawaii passed away on December 20, 2012 at his residence in Koloa at the age of 67. He was born on January 30, 1945 in Hanapepe, Kauai. He was a fireman for The County of Kauai.
He is survived by: son, Byron Betsui, Oahu; sister, Carol (Norman) Young, Kekaha; Numerous Aunts and Uncles and nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Bryan Kazuto Okazaki of Waimea passed away at home on April 29, 2013, at the age of 60. He was born in Waimea, Kauai on August 6, 1952, and retired as a security officer.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Yoshito and Kyoko Okazaki. He is survived by his sister, Valerie (Allen) Ozaki of Kailua, Oahu and his brother, Wesley (Marla) Okazaki of Lihue, one niece and one nephew.
Private services were held.

Kevin Francis Mc Dermott of Kapaa, Kauai, Hawaii. Passed away on June 5, 2013 at the age of 60, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital. Born on September 23, 1952 in Massachusettes. He was a mason.

Benjamin Rodriguez Fernandez, 84, of Waimea, Kauai, passed away at Kauai Care Center on June 5, 2013. Born on August 1, 1928 in Kohala, Hawaii he was a retired horticulturist with County Parks and Recreation.
Preceded in death by his parents, Salvador and Juanita Fernandez; daughter, Patricia Hardy; and son-in-law Floyd Rivers.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Lena Fernandez; sons, Ben (Kau’i) Fernandez of Waianae, Donald (Karin) Fernandez of Newberry Park CA, Eddie (Jan) Fernandez of Wahiawa, hanai son-Stanford Lanias of Maui, and William (Willadean) De Silva of Hilo; daughters, Rose (Dan) White of Rancho Cordova CA, Alice (Michael) Burroughs of Fond du lac WI, Juanita Rivers of Moreno Valley CA, Betty Ann Corniel of Torrance CA, and Clarissa (Louis) Hosino of Kapaa; brother, Tony Fernandez of Ewa Beach; sister, Alice Mendez of Kailua; and five generations of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
