LIHU‘E — The public can enjoy some French bread from the Kanimitsh Bakery on Moloka‘i Saturday from 8 a.m. until noon at Walmart in Lihu‘e.
A limited supply will be available for sale as the Mokihana Aquatics, celebrating its 33rd anniversary this year, hosts its bread pickup.
Coach Orlando “O” Anaya said the bread, the old-timers knowing the bread as okole bread, is being flown in freshly baked Saturday morning.
Anaya said Mokihana Aquatics is also accepting registration for its Learn to Swim sessions, which start on April 13. Spaces are available in beginners, advanced beginners, beginners and advanced beginners ocean safety.
Classes for beginners meet Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 3 to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to noon.
Advanced beginners meet Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 4 to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Anaya said April and May is also free try outs for people interested in joining the Mokihana Aquatics swim program.
