KALAHEO — Justin Fune, Irish Pascua and Keoni Gaoiran each scored eight points to lead Lepo Ula to a 51-18 win over Team Lihu‘e Red Thursday night during the county’s Boys Division 3 basketball game at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.

Shaun Paglinawan topped the Team Lihu‘e Red effort on six points followed by Kai Villanueva dropping five points.
Team Central split its nightcap series, Central Black being defeated by Hanakila, 56-36, before Team Central Silver rebounded to take a 36-26 win over Westside Basketball.
Playing in the league for boys in the seventh and eighth grades, Hanakila, a team made up primarily of players from the Hanalei to Kilauea area, got a game-high 21 points from Triston Hawelu in its win, Carson Schmick helping the victory with 17 points.
Demetrio Castillo topped the Team Central Black effort with 11 points followed by Bryce Johnson-Cormack adding seven points.
D.J. Pabre finished with a game-high 20 points to lead the Westside Basketball, but the effort fell short as Team Central Silver got 16 points from Thomas Yam in its 36-26 win.
Following the county’s weekend series in Kilauea, the Boys Division 3 return to the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center Monday with three games on tap, starting at 6 p.m.
Team Central Black will meet the Hanapepe Sinister at 6 p.m. followed by Team Central Silver going up against Hanakila at 7 p.m. Papalina will meet Lepo Ula in the 8 p.m. match.
