3-car crash near airport snarls traffic Monday

LIHU‘E — An accident on Kuhio Highway in the construction area just north of the airport intersection occurred around 7:45 a.m. Monday.

The three-car crash sent the southbound lane into a crawl and cars made their way around the crash scene by driving on the tarless center lane. Police, Kaua‘i Fire Department and an ambulance responded.

There were no updates from the county by press time.
