The county held an internal competition among departments to generate more interest in the annual campaign to raise money for Kaua‘i United Way.
The top five donors were honored at a Round Building ceremony on Friday.

They collectively donated $1,800. Heu, Fujimoto and Sasaki were present for the brief ceremony. The five were awarded pool passes for the Grand Hyatt Kaua‘i.
They were donated by Doug Sears, the Hyatt’s general manager and the campaign co-chair for Kaua‘i United Way.
