Hanama‘ulu basketball courts scheduled for resurfacing

HANAMA‘ULU — The basketball courts at Laukona and Wiliko parks in Hanama‘ulu were closed Friday, and will continue to be closed for approximately two weeks for resurfacing.

The Hanama‘ulu improvement project is part of a $301,628 contract awarded to Jas W. Glover Ltd., according to a county news release.

The contract also includes: resurfacing of two basketball courts in Hanapepe and Anahola, along with repaving of the parking lots at Waimea Canyon Park and Hanapepe Neighborhood Center. These projects are at different stages.

The two parking lots and the Hanapepe town basketball court have been resurfaced and await striping, while the Anahola Homestead Park basketball court will be resurfaced later this month.
